Good news if you are considering buying a new home. The Home Buying Tax Credit has been extended thru April 30th of this year and now includes home buyers that have lived in their current home for past 5 years. I have several friends that were fortunate enough to purchase a house last year, enabling them to cash in on the 2009 tax credit during this tax season. This year my wife and I have been considering buying a house. We haven’t totally made up our minds yet. I have to admit that the extension of the tax credit is one of the reasons we are considering the switch from renters to home owners. Have any of you recently taken the plunge into home ownership or know anyone who has? Did last year’s tax credit play any part on the decision to buy a house? Take a look at this video to find out a few more details on the home buyers tax credit for 2010.
If you are considering buying a new home or know someone that is, here is a link you should definitely check out to find the ins and outs of the 2010 home buyers tax credit.

Generally when I get a new phone, it’s only a matter of time before my wife wants one exactly like it. As many of you know, I am an avid user of my iphone. And, well, my wife and 2 daughters have also become avid users of my iphone. So now, they all want their own. This however, brings our family to one constant dilemma. How do we keep all of the identical phones from getting mixed up with each other. The simple answer, pexagon sells very nice covers in silicon and hard plastic for the iphone, blackberry, and smartphone. They come in a rainbow of colors and can be personalized for free with your name or anything else you would want on there. Best of all these covers are only $5. The covers also will help protect your phone and are designed so there is easy access to the keys and the camera is not obstructed. I really like these covers and since everyone can pick out a different color for their personalized Apple & BlackBerry cases, we will be able to quickly get out the door in the morning without grabbing the wrong phone. If you have an iphone, a blackberry, or a smartphone check out these phone cases.

I have a question for all of my readers that I would like to post to you:
Are you where you want to be?
Are you where you want to be, doing what you want to be doing with your life? Are you attaining your goals? Is your life making you feel fulfilled?
Now, what kind of person would I be if I didn’t share with you what I felt about these questions, and my answer is “No”.
I have always dreamed of starting a business, living life on my terms and experiencing the day to day working world in whatever manner I see fit.
That is my dream (you don’t know how many times I just typed the word was), and for a long time I didn’t think I could attain it. At least I didn’t think so until I stumbled upon Allison Maslan and her new book, “Blast Off!”, in stores now for $24.00 and available on Amazon for even lower.
Blast Off! Is an amazing book that can teach you, (I think inspire is a better word) that whatever dream you have in your life, is completely in your grasp. Blast Off! Will provide you the required guidance to structure your goals to make them easily obtainable. Allison will encourage you to reach for your goals, and also provide you with the skills along the way. Blast Off! will walk you through step by step strategies to elimate any roadblock that may be standing in your way.
Thank you Alison for making it easy to once again dream of starting my own business, and showing me in very through steps how to succeed at it.

Now that the business is online, what’s your Social Media Policy? Most businesses are not fully up to speed in the social media policy department. Take a second to think about these few questions:
- What happens if an employee is spending company time on social media networks?
- Does the employee need to identify him or herself as an employee on social media networks if they are talking about the company?
- What happens if the employee is saying negative comments towards your business in these social media networks?
As a business you cannot limit the amount tweets updates and post your employees are posted per day. You also shouldn’t try to limit it. Give your employees the freedom to talk about your customers and what they are doing online. This action kills two birds with one stone. Your employee establishes a great relationship with your client, and also shows outside readers the mindset of your business. You need to spend some time as a business owner and establish some effective social media policies.
Establishing effective policies does not include a long list of do’s and don’ts. You as the employer have to establish a very clear idea of what the company would like to avoid online, and what activities would be encouraged by your company.
As you write your social media policies remember, your business comes first. Second the freedom that social media provides your employees comes second.
What is your Social Media Policy?
John Richards was born in Indianapolis Indiana, and raised all over the world. Spending most of his childhood in Europe due to his parents’ military affiliation, John has traveled to more than 17 different countries. In fact one of the highlights of John’s life was touring Berlin 2 months after the wall went tumbling down. Coming from a strong military family, John has always focused his life in helping others and has innate, outstanding leadership skills. In his early college years at Hopkinsville Community College, John helped create a Campus Video productions origination, and lead the Baptist Student Ministry as Campus President and Student Intern.
Working at the community college, John realized the best way to communicate with people, no matter the case or person, was to relate to them on a personal, one on one level. Focusing on this philosophy, he led both groups into periods of growth. Then, while attending Western Kentucky University, he began to study Interpersonal Communication. Through this study John came to the realization that the business world needed to also focus on making local day to day business personal again.
John also has developed amazing marketing and recruiting talents in himself while working as president of the student ministry union, events facilitator of a college coffee house, and eventually as a youth minister. The student ministry union grew from 3 to 60 members under John’s leadership. Events John held and promoted at Sozo Coffee House generally pulled in about 40 attendees, which is a large number for a small coffee house. As a youth Minister John showed up his first Sunday to find the church with only 2 students for him to teach. Within the first year John’s promotions raised that number to an average of 80 attending students each week. At one event John was able to pull in 73% of all students grades 7 through 12 within a 30 mile radius.
Since joining the Webhost.biz team at the conception point, he has strived to make the Account manager position personal. From one on one meetings and phone calls with potential clients, to assisting current customers, John strives for the personal feel in his everyday life and work. John wants every one of his customers and clients, to have the personal one on one feeling that they were taken care of correctly and honestly. His highly developed interpersonal communication skills make every costumer fell like they are his most important client and that John values them as he would a close friend. He has actually had, on several occasions, a client call just to chat or tell John about personal events in their own life.
John currently lives in Columbus, OH with his amazing wife and daughters.
